السيرة الذاتية
Dr. Alberto Gallo is an Orthopedic Surgeon at the C.A.S.C.O. Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin with top honors (110/110 cum laude and publication distinction). He completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Specialization School of the CTO Hospital of Turin.
In the early years following graduation and specialization, he mainly focused on traumatology and the treatment of patients with single and multiple traumatic injuries, including complex polytrauma, developing a particular interest in hip and pelvic traumatology. During this period, he completed a fellowship in London with Dr. Martin D. Bircher at St. George’s NHS Hospital.
During his residency, in addition to working at CTO Hospital, he trained in several major hospitals in the city and province of Turin, gaining experience in adapting clinical practice to patients’ needs and different healthcare resource settings.
After specialization, he worked for approximately two years in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of San Giovanni Bosco Hospital in Turin. He subsequently spent about nine years at the Centro Ortopedico di Quadrante in Omegna (VB) as part of the internal orthopedic team, specializing in hip and knee prosthetic surgery, including both primary implantation—preferably using minimally invasive techniques—and revision surgery for painful prostheses and mechanical or infectious complications.
Since September 2022, he has been working as a freelance specialist, performing surgical procedures both within the Italian National Health Service and in private practice.
His clinical activity is mainly focused on hip and knee joint replacement surgery, including primary procedures using innovative minimally invasive techniques and revision surgery for painful prostheses and mechanical or infectious complications.
