Alberto Molteni

Dr. Alberto Molteni is a Diabetologist and Endocrinologist at the Unit of General and Subacute Medicine and the head of the Diabetes and Endocrinology service at Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1983. In 1988, he specialized in Liver Diseases and Metabolism at the University of Milan.

During his studies, he was a university intern and held a scholarship at the S. Anna Hospital in Como in the Medicine and Day Hospital department, as well as in the Diabetes Service from 1977 to 1988. He attended a Clinical Internist Ultrasound course at the Department of Gastroenterology, University of Bologna, in 1984.

Additionally, he conducts outpatient specialist activities in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Ultrasound. Since 2012, he has been a co-scientific director of the Como Diabetes event. He has co-authored publications in Acta Diabetologica and the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).
