Alessandro Mazzapicchi

Dr. Alessandro Mazzapicchi is a cardiologist at the Cardiology and Hemodynamics Unit of Policlinico San Marco.

He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2019 from the University of Catania. In 2025, he completed his specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.

During his training, Dr. Mazzapicchi developed a particular interest in interventional cardiology, including complex coronary angiographies and angioplasties, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI), valvular heart disease, interventional management of atrial fibrillation, and echocardiographic diagnostics.

His clinical practice focuses primarily on interventional cardiology in the operating room, performing both coronary and structural procedures.

He regularly participates in national and international conferences, also as a speaker.

He is the author of several publications in international scientific journals.

He is a member of GISE (Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology), EAPCI (European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Intervention), and SIC (Italian Society of Cardiology).
