Dr. Andrea Ambrosanio is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Traumatologist at the C.T.S. – Center for Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopic Surgery of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio in Milan. He also carries out clinical activity at Palazzo della Salute – Wellness Clinic.
He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome and later completed, again with honors, his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Milan. In 2024, he obtained formal recognition of his medical qualifications in the United Kingdom, receiving the GMC Certification with Licence to Practise.
During his training, he focused particularly on joint reconstructive surgery, sports traumatology, and minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery.
He has completed significant international experiences: in 2023, he undertook a Visiting Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York (USA), where he deepened his expertise in the most advanced surgical techniques for the knee, shoulder, and hip in both sports-traumatology and prosthetic surgery. In 2024, he completed a Knee Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Fortius Clinic in London (UK), working alongside Dr. Andy Williams and refining his skills in the diagnosis, conservative treatment, and surgical management of knee conditions in elite professional athletes. He has also taken part in international clinical research projects.
Dr. Ambrosanio’s clinical practice focuses on:
- Sports-related traumatic and overuse injuries
- Capsulo-ligamentous, cartilage, and meniscal injuries of the knee and shoulder
- Arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder
- Degenerative conditions of the hip and knee, for which he performs minimally invasive joint replacement procedures
- Joint regenerative medicine through PRP injections and cellular therapies
He is the author of scientific publications in national and international journals and regularly participates in orthopedic and trauma surgery conferences and research projects.
