Andrea Cardillo

Dr. Andrea Cardillo is a specialist in Radiodiagnostics and carries out clinical activity in breast imaging at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi–Sant’Ambrogio in Milan.

He is involved in the integrated diagnosis of breast disease, actively collaborating with the multidisciplinary team of the reference Breast Unit in the prevention, diagnosis, and staging pathway of breast cancer.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Radiodiagnostics at the University of Turin, developing a strong focus on breast imaging and acquiring comprehensive expertise in the main diagnostic and interventional breast imaging techniques.

He further refined his training through a fellowship at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan, an international reference center for oncology, and a fellowship at the Institute of Imaging of Italian Switzerland in Lugano, further deepening breast imaging techniques and international diagnostic approaches.

His clinical activity is focused on the diagnosis and characterization of both benign and malignant breast diseases. He practices in leading healthcare institutions in Milan and in other reference centers across Lombardy. He performs mammography (including tomosynthesis), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, as well as interventional procedures such as fine-needle aspiration, ultrasound-guided core biopsies, and stereotactic biopsies/VABB.

He participates in mammographic screening programs and in the diagnostic management of patients at high genetic or familial risk, with particular attention to diagnostic appropriateness and the personalization of clinical pathways.

He regularly participates in national and international training courses and congresses dedicated to breast imaging, maintaining continuous scientific updating.
