Andrea Giuseppe Faraci

Dr. Andrea Giuseppe Faraci is a dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, and Smart Clinic in Pieve Fissiraga.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2011 from the University of Palermo and subsequently specialized in Dermatology in 2021 at the University of Milan. Both degrees were awarded with honors. During his specialization year, he was also the recipient of the Dr. Grazia Drago Memorial Award as the best young dermatologist of the University Dermatology Clinic.

Since 2018, he has been a member of the Italian Society of Medical, Surgical, Aesthetic Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (SIDeMaST).

Since 2022, he has served as a dermatology consultant at the Dermatology Unit of IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.

His main areas of interest include:

• Mole mapping and dermatologic oncology (early diagnosis of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, actinic keratosis, and other skin cancers)
• Dermatologic surgery (removal of dysplastic nevi, melanomas, basal cell carcinomas, actinic keratoses and other skin cancers, cysts, and lipomas)
• Dermatologic and aesthetic laser treatments: cosmetic removal of benign skin lesions (seborrheic keratoses, fibromatous nevi, skin tags, angiomas, warts, condylomas) and pre-cancerous lesions (actinic keratoses, superficial basal cell carcinomas, etc.), facial and body photorejuvenation, treatment of skin spots, stretch marks, warts and condylomas, acne scars, actinic keratoses, capillaries, rosacea, and telangiectasias
• Acne and alopecia treatment (trichology)
• Clinical dermatology (diagnosis and treatment of urticaria, psoriasis, dermatitis/eczema, rosacea, and rare dermatological diseases)
