Chiara Mainardi

Dr. Chiara Mainardi is a cardiologist at the Clinical Unit of Interventional Cardiology and Hemodynamics of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, directed by Dr. Francesco Bedogni.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2018 from the University of Genoa and obtained her specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2023 at the University of Padua.
During her specialization training, she focused in particular on the use of multimodal cardiovascular imaging, including:
- transesophageal and stress echocardiography;
- baseline and stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging applied to the diagnosis of valvular diseases and cardiomyopathies.
At the end of her specialization, she completed a one-year fellowship at the Clinical Cardiology Unit of Policlinico San Donato, focused on the diagnosis of valvular diseases and transesophageal echocardiographic guidance during interventional procedures in the hemodynamics laboratory
Dr. Mainardi carries out clinical activity particularly focused on:
- basic and advanced echocardiography;
- transesophageal echocardiography;
- pharmacological stress testing;
- cardiac bubble test, both in the outpatient setting and in support of interventional procedures.
She also deals with the advanced management of acute and chronic heart failure and ischemic heart disease.
She regularly participates in national and international congresses, also as a speaker, and is co-author of scientific publications in the field of valvular diseases and their treatment.
