Elena Sala

Dr. Elena Sala is a cardiologist at the University Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio. She also collaborates with the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica in Como.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery with highest honors from the University of Insubria in 2020 and completed her specialization in Cardiology at the University of Milan in 2025. The final year of her training was carried out at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio, where, under the supervision of Prof. Daniele Andreini, she developed a specific focus on multimodality cardiac imaging.
Dr. Sala has advanced expertise in 2D and 3D transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal and stress echocardiography, coronary CT angiography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. Her clinical activity is mainly focused on clinical cardiology and multimodality cardiac imaging, with particular interest in valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, heart failure, and coronary atherosclerosis, as well as pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessment of patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
She is a co-author of several scientific publications in international journals and regularly participates in national and international congresses.
