Elio Treppiedi

Dr. Elio Treppiedi is a general surgeon at the Gastroenterological Surgery Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2010 from Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele and, in 2017, obtained his specialization in General Surgery from the University of Verona, defending a thesis on the classification of gastric neoplasms.

In 2019, he continued his studies with a university diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France. Subsequently, in 2021, he obtained a Master’s degree in Digestive Oncological Surgery from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Policlinico Gemelli in Rome.

From 2017 to 2018, he carried out clinical and surgical activity at the highly specialized center for esophageal and gastric surgical diseases, the “Service de chirurgie générale et digestive” of the Centre Hospitalier Régional Universitaire de Lille, in France.

He focuses his activity on gastroenterological surgery (inguinal hernias, hiatal hernias, esophageal achalasia, gallstones, gastroesophageal reflux disease) and abdominal oncological surgery (esophageal, colorectal, gastric neoplasms, etc.).

He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in international journals and book chapters, and regularly participates in multiple surgical and oncological congress activities.

Dr. Treppiedi is a member of GIRCG (Italian Group for Gastric Cancer Research), SIC (Italian Society of Surgery), SISME (Italian Society for the Study of Esophageal Diseases), and SICO (Italian Society of Oncological Surgery).
