Giorgio Gandaglia

Professor Giorgio Gandaglia is Deputy Head Physician at the Urology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, directed by Professor Francesco Montorsi, and Associate Professor of Urology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan in 2011, he completed his specialization in Urology at the same university in 2017.
His main clinical and scientific interests include urological cancers, benign prostatic hyperplasia, minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery, and novel staging techniques in urology.
In the field of research, he is a member of the Prostate Cancer Guidelines Panel of the European Association of Urology (EAU), a Board member of the EAU Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU), Assistant Editor of European Urology, and a member of the scientific boards of several international scientific societies. He is the author and co-author of more than 650 indexed scientific publications (H-index: 67).
He has received numerous national and international awards, including the Matula Italian Award 2023 from the Italian Society of Urology and the Crystal Matula Award 2024 from the European Association of Urology, presented to the best European urologist under 40 for excellence in research and academic activity.
