Dr. Leila Anna De Lorenzo is a cardiologist at the Clinical Cardiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
In 2019, she graduated in Medicine and Surgery with top marks and honors from the University of Milan and, in 2025, she specialized in Cardiology with a score of 70/70 at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
During her specialization (2021–2025), she trained at the Dyspnea and Pulmonary Hypertension Center at IRCCS Auxologico San Luca.
Since 2024, she has been working at the Clinical Cardiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, where she also performs on-call duties in the Emergency Department, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (UTIC), and outpatient services.
Dr. De Lorenzo is involved in:
- clinical management of patients admitted to the Clinical Cardiology ward;
- day and night cardiology on-call duties, including consultations in the Emergency Department, inpatient wards, and night shifts in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (UTIC);
- outpatient activities: first cardiology visit clinic, heart failure clinic, gender clinic (patients with immuno-rheumatological conditions), cardiovascular risk clinic (post-myocardial infarction, arterial hypertension);
- preoperative cardiology assessments: consultation, ECG, transthoracic echocardiogram, and surgical risk evaluation;
- clinical management of patients with cardiovascular diseases (heart failure, ischemic heart disease, arterial hypertension, valvular diseases, atrial fibrillation, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension) both in outpatient settings and during hospitalization;
- evaluation and interpretation of symptoms such as dyspnea, angina, palpitations, and syncope;
- cardiovascular stress testing;
- color Doppler echocardiography;
- therapy management;
- cardiovascular prevention.
