Mattia Giovannini

Dr. Mattia Giovannini is a specialist in Pediatrics affiliated with Casa di Cura La Madonnina and with clinical activity at the Meyer IRCCS University Hospital in Florence, within the Simple Departmental Organizational Structure of Allergology.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery in 2014 from the University of Verona, in 2020 he specialized at the School of Specialization in Pediatrics of the University of Florence (Meyer University Children’s Hospital), with a focus on Pediatric Allergology.

In 2023 he obtained a Second-Level Master’s Degree in Pediatric Immunology and Allergology at the same university, and in the same year he obtained the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Associate Professor. Dr. Giovannini also holds the position of Type A fixed-term researcher at the Department of Health Sciences of the University of Florence.

During his training and professional career, he held prestigious positions in the United States and the United Kingdom, including: Observer at the Division of Allergy and Immunology of Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School; Visiting Professional at the Division of Pediatric Allergy at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust; Pediatric Allergy Visiting Research Assistant, Visiting Research Associate and Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Women and Children’s Health, School of Life Course Sciences, King’s College London.

Since the beginning of his career, he has cultivated a strong interest in pediatric allergology. Since then, he has actively participated in clinical and research activities, with particular focus on anaphylaxis and immunomodulation strategies.
