Piergiorgio Calella

Dr. Piergiorgio Calella is an orthopedic surgeon at the C.A.S.C.O. Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, completing his training in several hospitals in the Italian capital. During his career, he also gained significant international experience at a specialized center for hip and knee prosthetic surgery in Germany.

He worked for five years at the CTO Hospital in Rome, where he consolidated advanced expertise in the treatment of orthopedic conditions. In 2023 he obtained a First-Level University Master’s Degree in Sports Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.

His clinical activity focuses in particular on hip and knee prosthetic surgery and knee surgery.
