Rayan Matloob

Dr. Rayan Matloob is a urologist and Deputy Chief Physician at the Urology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, directed by Professor Francesco Montorsi.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Baghdad (Iraq) in 2003 and obtaining formal recognition of his degree from the Italian Ministry of Health in 2009, he specialized with honors in Urology at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan in 2013.

Dr. Matloob deals with the most common urological conditions, such as prostatic hypertrophy, as well as cancers including:

• prostate cancer;
• bladder cancer;
• kidney cancer.

He is part of the multidisciplinary team for the treatment of kidney tumors, working in collaboration with oncologists and radiologists. He has solid experience in both open and minimally invasive surgery, including the management of the most complex cases.

He has participated in approximately 4,000 urological procedures, more than 1,000 of which as first operator, with an average of over 300 procedures per year.

In addition, Dr. Matloob is a member of the Italian Society of Urology (SIU) and the European Association of Urology (EAU).

He is the author of more than 40 original scientific articles published in national and international journals, as well as book chapters. His h-index is 17.

He regularly participates in national and international congresses in the field.
