Dr. Michele Trichilo is a cardiologist at the Cardiology and Hemodynamics Unit of Policlinico San Marco. He also collaborates with Centro Diagnostico Treviglio.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 2019, he continued his specialist training at the University of Ferrara, where he obtained his specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2025.
During his training, he gained significant clinical and procedural experience, further deepened through a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol in Barcelona.
Dr. Trichilo has developed expertise in interventional cardiology and advanced cardiovascular imaging, particularly in:
- interpretation of morphological coronary assessment and point functional and longitudinal functional evaluation indices, as well as virtual PCI platforms aimed at optimizing coronary revascularization procedures;
- diagnostic and therapeutic coronary angiography for simple and complex coronary lesions;
- processing and interpretation of cardiac CT reconstructions for pre-TAVI assessment and interpretation of transesophageal echocardiography for the selection and planning of MitraClip procedures;
- management of the main arterial vascular accesses (radial, femoral) and venous accesses (femoral and jugular), both with manual and ultrasound-guided techniques;
- management of temporary pacemakers and the main troubleshooting issues;
- management of low-, medium-, and high-flow oxygen therapy, as well as the main non-invasive ventilation (NIV) functions;
- interpretation of ECGs, telemetry monitoring, and invasive and non-invasive clinical monitoring parameters in different clinical scenarios;
- interpretation of ECG Holter recordings and cardiovascular stress tests;
- performance and interpretation of transthoracic echocardiography and performance of transesophageal echocardiography;
- interpretation of cardiac imaging (CT and SPECT).
He is author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in international journals in the field of clinical and interventional cardiology.
He is also a speaker at national and international congresses, including events promoted by the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists (ANMCO) and by the scientific societies of which he is a member, the Italian Society of Cardiology (SIC) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
