Walter Salustri

Dr. Walter Salustri is an orthopedic surgeon at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from Sapienza University of Rome in 2010, he completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology, also with honors, at the same university in 2016.

During his training, he worked at Mater Dei Hospital in Rome, where he began focusing on knee replacement surgery and sports medicine under the guidance of Professor Adriani. He subsequently specialized in hip replacement surgery, with particular interest in the minimally invasive anterior approach, collaborating with Dr. Giacomi and progressively refining his expertise in this technique.

He further advanced his professional training internationally by working alongside leading experts in anterior approach hip arthroplasty, including Professor Kristoff Corten and Professor Frédéric Laude.

Dr. Salustri mainly specializes in:

• primary and revision hip replacement surgery using the anterior approach;
• knee replacement surgery.

He actively participates in national and international scientific congresses.
