Biografía

El Dr. Matteo Rocco Pastore es jefe de la Unidad Simple de Medicina General con Diabetología, Endocrinología y Enfermedades Metabólicas del Hospital IRCCS San Raffaele, dirigido por el profesor Emanuele Bosi.

Tras licenciarse en Medicina y Cirugía en 1986 en la Universidad de Milán, se especializó en Diabetología en 1989 y en Endocrinología en 2004, en la misma Universidad y en la Universidad Vita-Salute de San Raffaele respectivamente.

En cuanto a la actividad clínica, el Dr. Pastore trabaja como médico internista en la División de Medicina General con un enfoque diabetológico y endocrino-metabólico y presta asesoramiento especializado en varios departamentos del hospital. También realiza trabajo clínico ambulatorio en diabetología con especial dedicación y experiencia en el tratamiento de la diabetes tipo 1.

Lleva a cabo investigaciones en el campo de la predicción y la prevención de la diabetes mellitus de tipo 1 y sus complicaciones como coinvestigador principal del protocolo de investigación internacional TrialNet.

Es autor y coautor de más de 50 publicaciones en revistas científicas y capítulos de libros. Su índice H es de 11 (WoS). Participa constantemente en congresos nacionales e internacionales sobre la materia.
