Pietro Gallotti (Пьетро Галлотти)

Dr. Pietro Gallotti has been the Head of the Internal Medicine Department and General Director of the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo since 1996.

The Internal Medicine Department at Istituto Beato Matteo focuses on:

• Comprehensive oncology, from diagnosis to medical therapies (chemotherapy for common cancers such as breast, lung, colorectal, gastrointestinal, and lymphomas), and pain management.
• Internal Medicine, providing care for patients with hepatological, gastroenterological, pulmonary, vascular, metabolic disorders, and other general medical issues that do not require surgical intervention.
• Rheumatology, particularly the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions, especially arthritis.

Dr. Gallotti graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1977 from the University of Pavia, where he also obtained specializations in Internal Medicine (1982) and Rheumatology (2004). In 1986, he further specialized in Oncology at the University of Genoa.

In 1979, he began his career in the Internal Medicine Department of the Civil Hospital of Vigevano, where he became Chief of the department in 1992. He has also held teaching positions at the University of Pavia, lecturing in Medical Pathology (1989-1995) and Medical Oncology (2012-2017) for the Nursing Degree program.

He has authored over 50 articles published in national and international journals.

Dr. Gallotti serves as the Scientific Director of the "Life" Onlus Association in Vigevano for Cancer Prevention and Treatment and has also been Vice President of the Vigevano Swimming Sports Association.
