Dr. Alfredo Longo is a surgeon at the Emergency Department of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1974 from the University of Milan, where he also obtained his specialization in General Surgery in 1979 and in Digestive System Surgery and Digestive Endoscopy in 1988.
He has previously worked at hospitals in Lecco, Ospedale San Carlo in Milan, and Azienda Ospedaliera - Polo Universitario L. Sacco in Milan.
At Polo Universitario L. Sacco, in addition to routine surgical duties in the operating room, emergency department, and ward, he contributed to organizing thematic meetings on the management of clinical cases related to emergency care in the Emergency Department. He also engaged in teaching and mentoring medical students and surgical residents.
