Dr. Massimo Sciammarella is a cardiologist at the Cardiology Unit of Villa Chiara Clinic in Bologna.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1978. In 1979, he completed his practical hospital internship in Cardiology at the Cardiology Division of the Cosenza Hospital.
In 1984, he specialized in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Cardiology Chair of the University of Rome "La Sapienza."
From 1980 to 2004, Dr. Sciammarella served as Assistant Cardiologist and Deputy Head at the Cardiology Division – Intensive Coronary Care Unit – AUSL of Paola (CS), where he also taught at the Professional Nurses School at Paola Hospital.
From 2004 to 2018, he worked as Medical Director of Cardiology at the Cardiology Division – Intensive Coronary Care Unit – SS. Annunziata Hospital in Cento, AUSL of Ferrara.
Dr. Sciammarella is an outpatient cardiologist, conducting cardiology consultations with electrocardiograms and echocardiograms. He also provides inpatient care, managing acute coronary syndromes and cardiac emergencies. Additionally, he performs diagnostic cardiology procedures, with a particular focus on cardiac imaging techniques such as:
- 2D transthoracic echocardiography
- Color-Doppler echocardiography
- Pharmacological stress echocardiography
- Myocardial scintigraphy (in a multidisciplinary team)
