Dr. Agostino Rossoni is a Sports and Exercise Medicine physician at the Orthopedic and Traumatology Clinic of Policlinico San Pietro.

In 2019 he graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from La Sapienza University of Rome, subsequently obtaining his medical license at the same university. He is registered with the Order of Physicians and Dentists of the Province of Bergamo.

In 2025 he completed his specialization, with honors, in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Milano-Bicocca. In parallel, he deepened his expertise in the diagnostic and interventional field by attending the SIUMB practical course in musculoskeletal ultrasound (taught by Stefano Galletti) in Bologna, obtaining the SIUMB National Diploma of Competence in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. He integrates this activity with ultrasound-guided interventional medicine for the treatment of the main musculoskeletal and tendon pathologies of sports interest.

He completed his training in emergency medicine through the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Prehospital Trauma Care (PTC) courses.

His interest in joint traumatic pathologies and sports medicine led him to gain extensive experience in professional sports environments:

  • Since 2022 he has served as team physician for the Italian Men’s and Women’s Alpine Ski National Teams, providing medical support during training and competitions at national and international level, including European Cup and World Cup events.
  • From 2022 to 2024 he served as team physician for the youth sector of U.C. Albinoleffe.
  • Since 2024 he has been team physician for the first team of U.C. Albinoleffe, managing sports injuries, prevention strategies and return-to-play programs.

He also attended the ringside physician course, participating as such in numerous combat sports events (boxing, kickboxing, MMA and related disciplines), gaining experience in the acute management of trauma in high-intensity contexts.

He is a full member of the Italian Federation of Sports Medicine (FMSI).

His main areas of interest include sports traumatology, musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided interventional medicine, injury prevention, and the management of athletes from trauma to return to performance.
