Biography
Dr. Antonio Sisinni is a cardiologist at the Clinical Unit of Interventional Cardiology and Hemodynamics, directed by Dr. Francesco Bedogni at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2018 with top marks (110/110 cum laude) from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, defending an experimental thesis on the evaluation of biventricular systolic function after percutaneous repair using the edge-to-edge technique. In 2023, he obtained his specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Milan (70/70), with an experimental thesis on the impact of left and right heart involvement in patients with primary mitral regurgitation undergoing percutaneous repair.
He subsequently completed his training with a second-level university Master’s degree in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Milan, with a specific focus on structural procedures and transcatheter tricuspid repair.
During his training, he further consolidated his expertise in structural interventional cardiology and carried out clinical activity in high-volume centers in Italy and abroad, including:
- IRCCS Policlinico San Donato;
- Hospital Álvaro Cunqueiro in Vigo (Spain).
Currently, Dr. Sisinni works at Policlinico San Donato, focusing on:
- advanced imaging and invasive hemodynamics,
- transcatheter valve procedures, including edge-to-edge mitral and tricuspid repair and TAVI.
His clinical activity is mainly dedicated to:
- coronary and transcatheter valve interventional cardiology;
- integrated echocardiographic and invasive hemodynamic assessment;
- advanced heart failure management;
- specialist outpatient activity.
Dr. Sisinni is also involved in scientific activity focused on transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the mitral and tricuspid valves, TAVI in specific clinical settings, and the integration between advanced imaging and invasive hemodynamics, with attention to echo-hemodynamic parameters predictive of outcomes.
He is involved in international multicenter registries and investigator-initiated projects, contributing to data analysis and the drafting of manuscripts for peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals.
