Biography
Dr Carlo Gaspardone is an interventional cardiologist in the Haemodynamics Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.
In 2018, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Policlinico Gemelli, in Rome and, in 2023, specialised in Cardiovascular Diseases at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan.
From a clinical perspective, Dr Gaspardone deals with coronary and structural interventional cardiology:
- coronary angiography;
- percutaneous coronary angioplasty;
- percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO);
- transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
With regard to research activity, he is the author of numerous publications in international scientific journals, with a particular interest in structural haemodynamics and, specifically, in percutaneous PFO closure.
He participates as a speaker at national and international scientific conferences.
