Biography
Dr. Edoardo Bertello is an orthopedic surgeon in the Knee Surgery II and Arthroscopic Surgery Unit at IRCCS Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio Hospital.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery with highest honors in 2019 from the University of Perugia. He continued his training by specializing in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Milan, again graduating with highest honors. He pursued highly specialized training in orthopedic surgery of the hip and knee, developing a particular interest in joint replacement surgery while working alongside leading experts in the field.
His clinical activity is mainly focused on the diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis and the main disorders affecting the hip, knee, and shoulder, using the most advanced conservative and regenerative therapies as well as personalized surgical solutions aimed at restoring the natural biomechanics of the joints.
He is an expert in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as robotic surgery. He also performs arthroscopic, reparative, and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder and specializes in sports traumatology.
He collaborates with the RE.GA.IN Clinical Unit, the IRCCS Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio Hospital’s center of excellence for regenerative medicine, which is at the forefront of treatments using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and adipose tissue derivatives. He also serves as a medical consultant for the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI), supporting the Italian Alpine Ski Team.
He conducts clinical research focused on knee replacement surgery and is the author of scientific publications in the field published in national and international journals.
