Biography
Dr. Elena Vittone is a physiotherapist at the Hand Surgery Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant’Ambrogio in Milan, where she focuses on specialist rehabilitation and the creation of custom-made splints in the field of hand surgery.
She graduated with honors in Physiotherapy from the University of Eastern Piedmont, defending a thesis dedicated to the rehabilitation pathway of patients with upper limb amputation and to the role of the physiotherapist during the different phases of recovery, with particular attention to the integration of prosthetic solutions.
She subsequently deepened her interest in hand rehabilitation by obtaining a university Master’s degree in Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Milan, with a thesis on the treatment of radial polydactyly.
She constantly participates in scientific and educational updating activities, including congresses and specialist courses dedicated to hand surgery and rehabilitation.
She is a member of the Italian Association for Hand Rehabilitation (A.I.R.M.) and is registered with the National Federation of Physiotherapists’ Orders (FNOFI), the professional body for physiotherapists.
In her work, she is committed to offering a personalized rehabilitation approach based on the most recent scientific evidence and oriented toward functional recovery and the patient’s quality of life, with particular interest in complex trauma in both sports-related and everyday settings.
