Biography
Dr. Gianfranco Cappelletti is Head of the General Medicine – Medical Long-Term Care and Extensive Rehabilitation Unit and a Specialist in Respiratory Diseases and Phthisiology at Villa Chiara in Bologna. He also collaborates with Villa Erbosa.
After earning his degree in Medicine from the University of Bologna in 1987, he specialized in Phthisiology and Respiratory Diseases in 1992.
Following his specialization, Dr. Cappelletti joined the medical team at Villa Erbosa, where he worked for over 30 years. During this time, he was head of the Pulmonology Clinic and, in recent years, led the COVID Medicine wards throughout the three pandemic “waves.”
For the past three years, he has been in charge of the General Medicine, Long-Term Medical Care, and Extensive Motor Rehabilitation wards at Villa Chiara.
Dr. Cappelletti has a particular interest in internal medicine, supported by over thirty years of clinical experience. In parallel, he continues his outpatient work as a pulmonologist and general practitioner.
He actively participates in medical congresses.
