Giuseppe Querques

Professor Giuseppe Querques is an ophthalmologist at Casa di Cura La Madonnina and former Associate Professor at Université Paris-Est Créteil and Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

Since 2025, he has also served as Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic at Policlinico di Modena, holding the position of Full Professor at UniMORE (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia).

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1999 from the University of Bari and specialized in Ophthalmology in 2005 at the University of Foggia, where he later obtained a PhD in Clinical Medicine in 2009. In 2015, he also achieved the Habilitation to Supervise Research at Université Paris-Est Créteil.

Professor Querques performs surgical procedures, mainly cataract extraction, including retinal laser surgery and intravitreal drug administration. He is also a specialist in advanced multimodal imaging and diagnostics, particularly for retinal and macular diseases.

He has participated in numerous international fellowships (Europe and the USA) in ophthalmology and is an active speaker at national and international conferences. He is a Board member and co-founder of several international scientific societies (Europe, USA, and Asia) and has received multiple awards, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Contributor Award in 2018 and the Macula Society Young Investigator Award in 2019.

Professor Querques is Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in numerous international clinical studies and trials and serves as Editor-in-Chief, Co-Editor, and Editorial Board Member for several international scientific journals.

He has authored over 700 scientific publications, primarily in the field of medical retina.
