Biography
Dr. Lucia Sciamanna is an orthopedic surgeon at the Hip Surgery Unit I of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio in Milan and also collaborates with the Hip Prosthetic Surgery Unit of Istituto Clinico San Siro.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2015 from Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna and completed her specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2024 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Since her specialist training, she has focused her interest on hip and knee disorders.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Sciamanna has gained extensive experience in prosthetic surgery, working for four years in operative units dedicated to robotic prosthetic surgery.
She is actively involved in clinical research within the projects coordinated by Prof. Luigi Zagra, with particular attention to primary and revision hip arthroplasty, which represents her main clinical and scientific area of interest.
She is co-author of publications in international scientific journals and has participated as a speaker at numerous national and international congresses.
