Biography
Dr Rodolfo Caminiti is an interventional cardiologist at the Hospital Cardiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 from the University of Messina and, in 2023, obtained his specialisation in Cardiovascular Diseases with full marks. He mainly deals with percutaneous interventions for the treatment of coronary artery disease, structural heart diseases, involving the aortic, mitral and tricuspid valves, and congenital defects, patent foramen ovale, PFO, and atrial septal defect, ASD.
He has a particular interest in research activity and is currently the author of more than 60 articles published in international specialist journals, with particular attention to new coronary interventional techniques such as the use of intracoronary lithotripsy, laser atherectomy and the routine use of drug-coated balloons.
For two consecutive years, 2021 and 2022, he received the Best Abstract Awards from the Italian Society of Cardiology. He is also Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, FESC, and of the Italian Society of Cardiology, FISC.
