Biography
Dr Valentina Mantovani is a cardiologist at the Clinical and Interventional Cardiology and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, directed by Professor Francesco Bedogni.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 2009, where she specialised in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2015.
During her clinical activity, she has gained experience in managing a broad range of cardiology patients, with particular focus on acute coronary syndromes, heart failure and valvular heart disease. She also manages patients undergoing interventional cardiology procedures, following their clinical pathway as part of hospital-based cardiology care.
A specific area of her activity is advanced echocardiography, with particular attention to the assessment of valvular diseases. She performs echocardiographic evaluation of patients who are candidates for interventional cardiology procedures, both before treatment and during the procedure, as well as throughout subsequent follow-up, contributing to the overall assessment of the patient and treatment outcomes.
Her professional activity therefore combines the clinical management of cardiology patients with expertise in advanced cardiovascular imaging and in the assessment of patients undergoing interventional procedures.
