Biography

Dr. Alberto Buffoli is the Head of the Radiation Oncology Service at the Istituto Clinico S. Anna in Brescia.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua, where he also specialized in Diagnostic Radiology. In 1978, he obtained his specialization in Oncology from the University of Modena. He later completed a stage at Christie Hospital and Holt Radium Institute in Whittington Manchester and the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton.

His contributions have been published in several notable journals, including International Synopses, Cancer Therapy and Control, Blood, International Journal Radiation Oncology Biology Physics, The Lancet, Annals of Oncology, Lung Cancer, European Journal of Cancer Care, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Astrofisma, Rivista di Patologia e Clinica, Folia Oncologica, Tumori, La Radiologia, Ricerca Medica, Rassegna Medica, and Radiologia Medica.

Dr. Buffoli is a member of the editorial boards of the Nuovo Bollettino della Società Medico Chirurgica Bresciana, Brescia Medicina, and the Editorial Board of the Rivista Medica del Friuli. Since 1994, he has been the scientific reference for Acta Laringologia Italiana.
