After graduating in 2007 from the University of Milan, he specialized in Radiodiagnostics at the same university in 2012. In 2010, he was a Clinical Fellow in Interventional Radiology at St. George’s Hospital, University of London. In 2011, he was a Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston. From 2019 to 2022, he served as a researcher at the University of Milan. Since 2026, he has been Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy at the University of Milan.

His specific fields of interest include image-guided minimally invasive treatments and interventional radiology procedures, with particular focus on thermoablation treatments.

From 2023 to 2025, he was chairperson of the task force on minimally invasive thyroid treatments for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE). He is the creator and coordinator of the project “termoablazione.expert”, aimed at disseminating knowledge on thermoablation techniques, and founder of the “Italian Study Group on Minimally Invasive Thyroid Treatments – MITT group”.

He is the author of the European guidelines on minimally invasive treatments of thyroid tumors and has to date authored 204 publications in national and international journals, with an H-index of 42, and more than 200 presentations at national and international courses and conferences.
