Biographie

Le Professeur Giovanni Mauri est radiologue interventionnel, responsable du laboratoire de recherche sur les traitements mini-invasifs de la thyroïde guidés par l’imagerie au sein de l’Unité de Radiologie Diagnostique et Interventionnelle de l’IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio, et professeur associé de diagnostic par imagerie et radiothérapie à l’Université de Milan.

Diplômé en 2007 de l’Université de Milan, il se spécialise en radiodiagnostic dans le même établissement en 2012. En 2010, il est Clinical Fellow en radiologie interventionnelle au St. George’s Hospital, University of London. En 2011, il est Research Fellow au Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School à Boston. De 2019 à 2022, il a été chercheur à l’Université de Milan. Depuis 2026, il est professeur associé de diagnostic par imagerie et radiothérapie à l’Université de Milan.

Ses domaines d’intérêt principaux incluent les traitements mini-invasifs guidés par l’imagerie et les procédures de radiologie interventionnelle, avec un intérêt particulier pour les techniques de thermoablation.

De 2023 à 2025, il a été président de la task force sur les traitements mini-invasifs de la thyroïde pour la Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE). Il est le créateur et responsable du projet “termoablazione.expert”, visant à diffuser les connaissances sur les techniques de thermoablation, ainsi que fondateur du “Groupe italien d’étude sur les traitements mini-invasifs de la thyroïde – groupe MITT”.

Il est auteur des recommandations européennes sur les traitements mini-invasifs des tumeurs de la thyroïde et compte à ce jour 204 publications dans des revues nationales et internationales, un h-index de 42 et plus de 200 présentations lors de cours et congrès nationaux et internationaux.
